#### 208 Notice of damage to aid to navigation (1) A person who, or the master of a vessel that, damages an AMSA aid to navigation must, as soon as practicable having regard to the means of communication available to the person or the master, report the damage to AMSA. Fault‑based offence (2) A person commits an offence if the person contravenes subsection (1). Penalty: Imprisonment for 12 months or 60 penalty units, or both. Civil penalty (3) A person is liable to a civil penalty if the person contravenes subsection (1). Civil penalty: 600 penalty units.
