189Acquisition of aids to navigation by compulsory process

#### 189 Acquisition of aids to navigation by compulsory process (1) This section applies if AMSA is unable to enter into an agreement with a State or Territory for the acquisition of any particular aid to navigation belonging to that State or Territory. (2) The Minister may acquire by compulsory process: (a) the aid to navigation; and (b) any other property used in connection with the aid to navigation; and (c) so much of the land (if any) required or used for the purpose of the aid to navigation as AMSA thinks sufficient. (3) The provisions of the Lands Acquisition Act 1989 relating to the acquisition of interests in land by compulsory process and to the determination of the amount of compensation payable in respect of interests so acquired apply, so far as applicable, in relation to the acquisition of property under this section.
