#### 126 Musters and drills etc. on vessels (1) The master of a vessel must ensure: (a) that musters, drills and safety training and familiarisation are held in accordance with the regulations; and (b) that entries are made in the vessel’s official logbook, in accordance with the regulations, in relation to musters, drills and safety training and familiarisation. (2) Without limiting subsection (1), the master of a vessel contravenes that subsection if the master does not implement and maintain a safety management system that ensures that the musters, drills and safety training and familiarisation are held. Fault‑based offence (3) A person commits an offence if the person contravenes subsection (1). Penalty: Imprisonment for 5 years or 300 penalty units, or both. Civil penalty (4) A person is liable to a civil penalty if the person contravenes subsection (1). Civil penalty: 3,000 penalty units.
