#### 89 Appointment of authorised officers
(1) The National VET Regulator may, in writing, appoint a member of the staff of the Regulator as an authorised officer for the purposes of this Act.
(2) The National VET Regulator must not appoint a person as an authorised officer unless the person satisfies the experience, training and qualification requirements (if any) determined under subsection (2A).
(2A) The Minister may, by legislative instrument, determine the experience, training and qualification requirements for authorised officers.
(3) An authorised officer must, in exercising powers as an authorised officer, comply with any directions of the National VET Regulator.
(4) If a direction is given under subsection (3) in writing, the direction is not a legislative instrument.
