230Unincorporated associations—rights and obligations

#### 230 Unincorporated associations—rights and obligations (1) This Act applies to an unincorporated association as if it were a person, but with the changes set out in this section and sections 136 and 231. (2) A right that would otherwise be exercisable by the unincorporated association is exercisable by each member of the association’s committee of management instead. (3) An obligation that would otherwise be imposed on the unincorporated association: (a) is imposed on each member of the association’s committee of management instead; but (b) may be discharged by any of those members. (4) Subject to section 136, the members are jointly and severally liable to pay an amount that is payable, or becomes payable, in relation to this Act.
