sch.2-sec.14 References to Minister
In this Law— a reference to a Minister is a reference to a Minister of the Crown of this jurisdiction; and a reference to a particular Minister by title, or to “the Minister” without specifying a particular Minister by title, includes a reference to another Minister, or a member of the Executive Council of this jurisdiction, who is acting for and on behalf of the Minister. In a provision of this Law, a reference to “the Minister”, without specifying a particular Minister by title is a reference to— the Minister of this jurisdiction administering the provision; or if, for the time being, different Ministers of this jurisdiction administer the provision in relation to different matters— if only one Minister of this jurisdiction administers the provision in relation to the relevant matter, the Minister; or if two or more Ministers of this jurisdiction administer the provision in relation to the relevant matter, any one of those Ministers; or if paragraph (b) does not apply and, for the time being, two or more Ministers administer the provision, any one of the Ministers. For the removal of doubt, it is declared that if— a provision of this Law is administered by two or more Ministers of this jurisdiction; and the provision requires or permits anything to be done in relation to any of the Ministers, the provision does not require or permit it to be done in a particular case by or in relation to more than one of the Ministers.
