sec.15 Staff members not empowered to direct public service employees

A public service employee is not subject to the direction of a staff member. Subsection (1) does not prevent a staff member giving a direction to a public service employee on behalf of a person who may lawfully give the direction. The Minister administering a department may give a direction to the chief executive of the department under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 178 . s 15 amd 2022 No. 34 s 365 sch 3 (sec.15-ssec.1) A public service employee is not subject to the direction of a staff member.
