sec.16 Acting scheme manager
The Minister may appoint a person to act as scheme manager— during a vacancy in the office; or during any period, or during all periods, when the scheme manager is absent from duty or from the State or is, for another reason, unable to perform the duties of the office. However, the person can not be appointed for more than 6 months in any 12 month period. The acting scheme manager is appointed under this Act and not the Public Sector Act 2022 . It does not matter whether the appointee is or is not a public service officer. s 16 amd 2022 No. 34 s 365 sch 3 (sec.16-ssec.1) The Minister may appoint a person to act as scheme manager— during a vacancy in the office; or during any period, or during all periods, when the scheme manager is absent from duty or from the State or is, for another reason, unable to perform the duties of the office.
