sec.4 Prescribed dealings— Act , s 17

For section 17 (1) of the Act , each of the following is a prescribed dealing— a mortgage over the resource authority or over a share in the resource authority; a release, transfer or surrender of a mortgage mentioned in paragraph (a) ; if the resource authority is a lease— a sublease of the lease; or a transfer of a sublease of the lease or of a share in the sublease; an assessable transfer. To remove any doubt, it is declared that any transaction or commercial agreement not mentioned in subsection (1) is not a prescribed dealing. In this section— lease means— a mining lease under the Mineral Resources Act ; or a petroleum lease under the P&G Act ; or a lease under the 1923 Act ; or a geothermal production lease under the Geothermal Act ; or a GHG lease under the Greenhouse Gas Act . s 4 amd 2020 Act No. 14 s 83 ; 2025 SL No. 48 s 14 sch 1 (sec.4-ssec.1) For section 17 (1) of the Act , each of the following is a prescribed dealing— a mortgage over the resource authority or over a share in the resource authority; a release, transfer or surrender of a mortgage mentioned in paragraph (a) ; if the resource authority is a lease— a sublease of the lease; or a transfer of a sublease of the lease or of a share in the sublease; an assessable transfer. • (a) a mortgage over the resource authority or over a share in the resource authority;
