9C Definitions—div 2.2.3A
ACT court means a court of this jurisdiction mentioned in an item in
schedule 2, column 2.
corresponding court, in relation to an ACT court mentioned in an
item in schedule 2, column 2, means a court of another jurisdiction
mentioned in the item, column 3.
court includes tribunal.
judicial exchange arrangement means an arrangement under
section 9D.
judicial officer means a magistrate or other person who, whether
alone or together with others, constitutes a court, but does not include
a lay member of a court.
participating jurisdiction means the Commonwealth, a State or
another country if under the law of that jurisdiction a judicial
exchange arrangement may be entered into with the Attorney-General
of this jurisdiction.
Note State includes the Northern Territory (see Legislation Act, dict, pt 1).
