84 Particular cases may be adjourned
(1) Before or during the hearing or further hearing of an information, the
magistrate may adjourn the hearing or further hearing.
(2) The magistrate may, by order, release the defendant (whether or not
on bail) or remand the defendant in custody.
Note 1 The court must issue a warrant for the defendant’s remand in the
Adjournment of criminal proceedings Division 3.4.5
