266A Civil disputes under ACT Civil and Administrative
Tribunal Act
(1) A proceeding may not be started in the Magistrates Court in relation
to—
(a) a common boundaries determination; or
(b) another civil dispute if an amount of not more than $25 000 is
claimed, or sought to be declared as a debt, whether or not any
other relief is also sought.
(2) To remove any doubt, this section does not apply—
(a) in relation to the enforcement of an order made by the ACAT;
or
(b) to a combined fair work matter removed by the ACAT to the
Magistrates Court under the ACT Civil and Administrative
Tribunal Act 2008, section 82A.
Note The ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2008, s 71 provides for
the enforcement by an appropriate court of a money order or non-money
order made by the tribunal under the Court Procedures Rules 2006,
pt 2.18 (Enforcement).
