143 Consequences if information dismissed (1) The court must make an order of dismissal if the court dismisses an information. (2) The court must give the defendant a certificate of dismissal signed by the adjudicating magistrate or the registrar if the defendant applies for it. (3) If a certificate of dismissal is produced to a court— (a) the court must accept it as proof of the matters stated in it if there is no evidence to the contrary; and (b) it is a bar to any other information or proceeding in any court (other than an appeal) for the same matter against the same party.
