126 Application for withdrawal of infringement notice (1) The person on whom an infringement notice for an infringement notice offence is served may apply to the administering authority, in writing, for the withdrawal of the notice within 28 days after the day when the infringement notice, or a reminder notice for the offence, is served on the person (or any additional time allowed by the administering authority). (2) The administering authority must— (a) withdraw the notice or refuse to withdraw the notice; and (b) tell the person in writing of the decision and, if the decision is a refusal, the reasons for it.
