116C Proof of service
(1) Service of a summons or notice for this part may be proved by the
oath of the person who served it, by affidavit or otherwise.
(2) For this part, if—
(a) a summons has been served in accordance with section 116B;
and
(b) a copy of the summons is returned to the registrar with the notice
of intention to defend form or the plea of guilty form completed;
the defendant is taken, unless the contrary is proved, to have
completed and signed the form so completed and to have returned the
form to the registrar.
(3) The plea of guilty form must be signed in the presence of 1 of the
following people:
(a) the registrar;
(b) a lawyer;
(c) a justice of the peace;
(d) a person prescribed by regulation or rule.
