420 Further provisions about proposals submitted after 8 May 2024
> > (1) This section applies to a de-amalgamation proposal if the written business case for the proposal was submitted to the Minister under the former section 218CC after 8 May 2024.
>
> > (2) The Minister may, in writing, direct the council that submitted the proposal to give additional information to the Minister within a specified time.
>
> > (3) If the council gives additional information in accordance with a direction under subsection (2)—
> >
> > > (a) the additional information is taken to form part of the written business case, and
> >
> > > (b) if the proposal was referred to the Boundaries Commission under the former section 218CC(2)—
> > >
> > > > (i) the Minister must refer the additional information to the Boundaries Commission, and
> > >
> > > > (ii) the Boundaries Commission must not report on the written business case until the Minister refers the additional information.

> > (4) If the council does not give the additional information required by a direction under subsection (2)—
> >
> > > (a) the Minister is not required to refer the written business case for examination and report to the Boundaries Commission, and
> >
> > > (b) the Boundaries Commission is not required to examine or report on a referral of the written business case.
