#### 301 Claims for grouping of candidates 301 Claims for grouping of candidates > > (1) This section applies to a claim under section 308A (Grouping of candidates) of the Act. > > > (2) A claim must be in the form approved by the election manager to be effective. > > > (3) A claim is of no effect if— > > > > > (a) the name of any candidate included in the claim is included in any other claim, or > > > > > (b) the claim is withdrawn by the candidates who made the claim by a notice— > > > > > > > (i) in the form approved by the election manager, and > > > > > > > (ii) delivered or sent to the returning officer to be received by the returning officer before midday on the nomination day. > > > (4) On receipt of a claim or notice of withdrawal of a claim, the returning officer must endorse on it the date and time of receipt.
