280 Advertising of enrolments
> > (1) The Electoral Commissioner is to give notice under section 277B of the fact that persons are entitled to vote in an election, constitutional referendum, de-amalgamation referendum or council poll, and are entitled to be enrolled as electors for a ward or area, if they are residents of the ward or area, or are owners, occupiers, or ratepaying lessees, of rateable land in the ward or area.

> > (2) The notice is to invite claims for the inclusion of the names of persons in the roll of electors or for the amendment of any particulars entered in the roll against the names of persons.
>
> > (2A) If the election is a postal election, the notice is also to inform voters how they may apply for the redirection of their postal ballot envelope and the last day when a redirection request may be lodged.
>
> > (3) The notice must be published on the Electoral Commission’s website for the period commencing at least 14 days before the closing date for the election, constitutional referendum, de-amalgamation referendum or council poll and ending at 6 pm on the closing date.
>
> > (4) The notice may also be published in any other manner that the Electoral Commissioner considers necessary to bring the notice to the attention of members of the public in the area.
