#### 133 Sale of land to recover overdue rates or charges 133 Sale of land to recover overdue rates or charges > An advertisement under section 715(1) of the Act notifying a proposed sale of land for unpaid rates or charges is to contain the following information— > > > (a) that the council proposes to sell the land for unpaid rates or charges at public auction, > > > (b) the name of the auctioneer and the proposed place, date and time of the auction, > > > (c) the persons known to the council to have an interest in the land, > > > (d) the amount of rates and charges unpaid for more than 5 years from the date on which they became payable and the amount of any interest accrued, > > > (e) the amount of any other rates and charges payable and unpaid and the amount of any interest accrued, > > > (f) the total amount due, > > > (g) that, if all rates and charges payable (including overdue rates and charges) are not paid to the council or an arrangement satisfactory to the council is not entered into by the rateable person before the time fixed for the sale, the council will proceed with the sale.
