#### 20 Protections in respect of defamation and breach of confidence 20 Protections in respect of defamation and breach of confidence > > (1) This section applies if: > > > > > (a) the name of a person or other information is included in or removed from (or not included in or removed from) the Lobbyists Register or Lobbyists Watch List by the Electoral Commission pursuant to a decision under this Act, and > > > > > (b) the Electoral Commission believes in good faith, when making the decision, that this Act permits or requires the decision to be made. > > > (2) In any such case, no action for defamation or breach of confidence lies against the Crown, the Electoral Commission, a member of the Electoral Commission or a member of the staff of the Electoral Commission by reason of the making of the decision or any disclosure of information resulting from the decision. > > **s 20:** Ins 2014 No 30, Sch 3 \[7\].
