sec.44 Special procedures for draft strategic and operational plans
The Minister may return the draft strategic and operational plans to the board and ask it— to consider, or further consider, anything and deal with the thing in the draft plans; and to revise the draft plans in the light of its consideration or further consideration. The board must comply with the request as a matter of urgency but subsection (1) does not require the board to amend the draft plans. If the draft plans have not been agreed to by the Minister by 1 month before the start of the financial year, the Minister may by written notice, direct the board— to take specified steps in relation to the draft plans or either of them; or to make specified modifications of the draft plans or either of them. The board must immediately comply with the direction and include a copy of the direction in the plans or plan concerned. The Minister may act under subsection (1) or (3) for a thing having resource implications for the board that are likely to require additional funding by the State only if the Minister has consulted with the Treasurer about the implications. s 44 prev s 44 om 1997 No. 79 s 17 pres s 44 ins 1997 No. 79 s 18 (sec.44-ssec.1) The Minister may return the draft strategic and operational plans to the board and ask it— to consider, or further consider, anything and deal with the thing in the draft plans; and to revise the draft plans in the light of its consideration or further consideration.
