65 Restriction on further applications for local practising
certificate after refusal to grant or renew
(1) This section applies if the relevant council decides under section 62
(Refusal to grant or renew unrestricted or restricted practising
certificate—failure to show cause etc) or section 63 (Refusal to grant
or renew barrister practising certificate—failure to show cause etc) to
refuse to grant or renew a local practising certificate to a person.
(2) The relevant council may also decide that the person is not entitled to
apply for the grant of a local practising certificate for a stated period
of not longer than 5 years.
relevant council must include the decision in the information notice
required under section 62 (2) or section 63 (2).

certificate during the period stated in the decision.
