593 Interim injunctions—undertakings about damages
(1) If a council applies for an injunction under this chapter, the
Magistrates Court must not require the council to give an undertaking
about costs or damages as a condition of granting an interim
injunction.
(2) The Magistrates Court must accept an undertaking from a council
about costs or damages, and not require a further undertaking from
anyone else, if—
(a) the applicant for an injunction under this chapter is not the
(b) the court would, apart from this subsection, require the applicant
to give an undertaking about costs or damages; and
(c) the council gives the undertaking.
