340 Costs in relation to claims
(1) If the law society council completely or partly allows a claim, the
council must order payment of the claimant’s reasonable legal costs
involved in making and proving the claim, unless the council
considers that special circumstances exist justifying a reduction in the
amount of costs or justifying a decision that no amount should be paid
for costs.
(2) If the law society council completely disallows a claim, the council
may order payment of all or part of the claimant’s reasonable legal
costs involved in making and attempting to prove the claim, if the
council considers it is appropriate to make the order.
(3) The costs are payable from the fidelity fund.
