323 Contributions to fidelity fund
(1) A solicitor must, not later than each 30 June, pay to the law society
the contribution to the fidelity fund decided by the law society council
for the period of 12 months beginning on the following 1 July.
(2) However, if a solicitor applies for a practising certificate for a period
of less than 12 months, the solicitor must, in relation to the period,
pay to the law society a contribution that bears to the contribution
decided under subsection (1) the same proportion as the period bears
to a year.
