306 Imputed acts, omission or knowledge for pt 3.2
For this part—
(a) anything done or omitted by, to or in relation to—
(i) an Australian legal practitioner; or
(ii) an Australian-registered foreign lawyer (except for
section 284 (4) (Conditional costs agreements involving
uplift fees) or for any provision of this part prescribed by
regulation for this section);
in the course of acting on behalf of a law practice is taken to
have been done or omitted by, to or in relation to the practice;
and
(b) without limiting paragraph (a), the law practice is taken to
become or be aware of, or to have a belief about, any matter if—
(i) an Australian legal practitioner; or
(ii) an Australian-registered foreign lawyer (except for
section 284 (4) or for any provision of this part prescribed
by regulation for this section);
becomes or is aware of, or has a belief as to, the matter in the
course of acting on behalf of the practice.
