199 Additional conditions on practice of interstate-registered
(1) The relevant council may, by written notice given to an interstate-
registered foreign lawyer practising foreign law in the ACT, impose
any condition on the interstate-registered foreign lawyer’s practice
that it may impose under this Act in relation to a locally-registered
foreign lawyer.
(2) Also, an interstate-registered foreign lawyer’s right to practise foreign
law in the ACT is subject to any condition imposed under the legal
(3) Conditions imposed under or mentioned in this section must not be
more onerous than conditions applying to locally-registered foreign
lawyers in the same or similar circumstances.
(4) A notice under this section must include an information notice about
the decision to impose a condition.
