132 Relationship of Act to Corporations legislation
(1) A regulation may declare any provision of this Act that relates to a
corporation that is or was an incorporated legal practice to be a
Corporations legislation displacement provision for the Corporations
Act, section 5G (Avoiding direct inconsistency arising between the
Corporations legislation and State and Territory laws).
Note 1 The declaration of a provision ensures that that any provision of the
Corporations Act or the Australian Securities and Investment
Commission Act 2001 (Cwlth) with which the provision would otherwise
be inconsistent does not apply to the extent necessary to avoid the
inconsistency.
Note 2 This Act is defined in the dictionary.
(2) A regulation may declare any matter relating to a corporation that is
or was an incorporated legal practice, and that is prohibited, required,
authorised or permitted under this Act, to be an excluded matter for
the Corporations Act, section 5F in relation to—
(a) all of the Corporations legislation; or
(b) a stated provision of the Corporations legislation; or
(c) the Corporations legislation other than a stated provision; or
(d) the Corporations legislation otherwise than to a stated extent.
matter includes act, omission, body, person or thing.
