Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
These regulations fill operational gaps in the Law Enforcement Integrity Commissioner Act 2006, clarifying which Commonwealth and state integrity bodies and certain biosecurity/customs staff fall under the Commissioner’s oversight (five named agencies are included until 1 Oct 2024).
They also set practical rules—witness allowances, identity cards for ACLEI investigators, required annual transparency reporting on tips and outcomes, and sharing AFP corruption reports with relevant Territory authorities—making federal integrity oversight more operational and accountable.
