#### 2 Commencement 2 Commencement > > (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on the date of assent to this Act. > > > (2) Except as provided by this section, this Act shall commence on— > > > > > (a) such day as may be appointed by the Governor in respect thereof and as may be notified by proclamation published in the Gazette (being a day that is not later than the day referred to in paragraph (b)), or > > > > > (b) if a day is not appointed and notified under paragraph (a)—the day appointed and notified under section 2(2) of the [Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1979-203). > > > (3) Section 71 shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2(2) of the [Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1979-203). > > > (4) No proceedings shall be commenced in the Court before the day appointed and notified under section 2(2) of the [Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1979-203).
