22D Surrender of land by municipality S. 22D(1) amended by Nos 13/1990 s. 41(a), 25/2023 s. 7(Sch. 1 item 17.8). (1) Where the Attorney-General has authorized a municipal council to surrender any land the municipal council shall as soon as practicable thereafter execute an instrument of transfer and surrender or an instrument of conveyance (as the case requires) of the land to His Majesty. S. 22D(2) amended by No. 13/1990 s. 41(a). (2) An instrument executed by a municipal council pursuant to subsection (1) shall as nearly as may be have the same force and effect as if it had been executed by the registered proprietor of or the person seized of an estate in fee-simple in the land concerned.
