188 Penalty for unauthorized occupation or depasturing on certain lands
(1) Every person who is found in unauthorized occupation of any Crown land or who knowingly and wilfully depastures without authority in that behalf any cattle or swine on any such land not being a common shall be liable on conviction thereof to the penalties following (that is to say)—for the first offence a sum of not more than 0⋅5 penalty unit, for the second offence after an interval of fourteen clear days from the date of the previous conviction a sum of not more than 1 penalty unit, and for any subsequent offence after a like interval a sum of not more than 2 penalty units, but no proceedings to recover any such penalty may be taken except by some person authorized in that behalf by the Minister.

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to unauthorised occupation of Crown land for a purpose relating to apiculture.
