187 Penalty for false statement etc. in relation to application
Every person who on making application for a lease or a licence under this Act wilfully makes any false statement or refuses to answer any question relating to such application which may be put to him by the land officer or the substitute of a land officer or wilfully gives a false answer to any such question shall be liable to a penalty of not less than 0⋅5 penalty unit nor more than 4 penalty units or to imprisonment for a term
of not less than fourteen days nor more than six months.
