140A Grant of licences for jetties landing stages etc. (1) The Governor in Council or any person duly authorized by him in that behalf may grant licences in respect of any Crown lands described in the Seventeenth Schedule for the purposes of a jetty landing stage boat ramp slipway net rack or mooring. (2) Licences may be granted in respect of Crown lands which are permanently or temporarily reserved under the **Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978** or any corresponding previous enactment. (3) Prior to a licence being granted in respect of any land the Minister shall obtain a report from— S. 140A(3)(a) amended by Nos 76/1998 s. 11(f), 51/2016 s. 22. (a) the Department Head of the Department; (b) the committee of management (if any) of the land; and (c) the municipal council of the municipal district in which the land is situated.
