### 26 Stay of decision > > (1)  The making of an application to the Court under [section 17](#GS17@EN) relating to a decision does not – > > > > > > (a) affect the operation of the decision; or > > > > > > > (b) prevent the taking of action to implement the decision. > > > (2)  Despite [subsection (1)](#GS26@Gs1@EN) , the Court or a judge – > > > > > > (a) may, by order, suspend the operation of the decision; and > > > > > > > (b) may order a stay of any proceeding under the decision. > > > (3)  The Court or judge may make the order – > > > > > > (a) of the Court's or judge's own motion; or > > > > > > > (b) on the application of the person who made the application.
