73 Commissioner may approve code of practice (1) A public sector organisation may submit a draft code of practice to the Commissioner for approval.

Information Act 2002 51 (2) The Commissioner may, by Gazette notice, approve the draft code as a code of practice, if the Commissioner is satisfied that: (a) the draft code substantially complies with the objects of this Act in relation to the personal information to which it applies; and (b) the public sector organisation will be able to comply with the draft code; and (c) the draft code is not contrary to the public interest. (3) A notice of approval is to specify the public sector organisation to whom the code of practice applies.
