60 Issuing exemption certificate (1) The Chief Minister may issue an exemption certificate certifying that government information identified in the certificate is exempt because it is: (a) information mentioned in section 45(1)(a) other than information to which section 45(2) or (3) applies; or (b) information mentioned in section 46(1); or (c) information mentioned in section 56. (2) The Chief Minister is not required to confirm or deny in the exemption certificate that the information identified in the certificate exists. (3) If the Chief Minister does confirm in the exemption certificate that the information exists, he or she must also specify in the certificate that it is: (a) information mentioned in section 45(1)(a) other than information to which section 45(2) or (3) applies; or (b) information mentioned in section 46(1); or (c) information mentioned in section 56.
