#### 33 Legal representation 33 Legal representation > > (1) The Commission may, in relation to a compulsory examination or public inquiry, authorise— > > > > > (a) a person giving evidence at the compulsory examination or public inquiry, or > > > > > (b) a person referred to in section 32, > > > > to be represented by an Australian legal practitioner at the compulsory examination or public inquiry or a specified part of the compulsory examination or public inquiry. > > > (2) The Commission is required to give a reasonable opportunity for a person giving evidence at the compulsory examination or public inquiry to be legally represented. > > > (3) An Australian legal practitioner appointed by the Commission to assist it may appear before the Commission. > > **s 33:** Am 2005 No 10, Sch 1 \[20\]; 2006 No 120, Sch 3.12 \[2\] \[3\].
