59P Prohibitions applying to the IBAC The IBAC must not for the purposes of conducting a preliminary inquiry— (a) make an application for the issue of a surveillance device warrant under section 15 of the **Surveillance Devices Act 1999**; or (b) authorise or conduct a controlled operation under the **Crimes (Controlled Operations) Act 2004**.
