194A Act applies equally to attendance in person or by audio or audio visual link (1) For the avoidance of doubt, except as otherwise provided in Part 3 or Part 6, a provision of this Act that applies in relation to the attendance of a person or any rights of a person or obligations imposed under Part 3 or Part 6 as a consequence of that attendance— (a) required under a witness summons; or (b) as legal representation at an examination; or (c) in accordance with section 129— applies in relation to attendance by audio visual link or audio link in the same way that it applies in relation to attendance in person. (2) For the avoidance of doubt, except as otherwise provided by Part 3 or Part 6, a provision of this Act that applies in relation to the production of documents under a witness summons applies in relation to production of documents by secure electronic means in the same way that it applies in relation to production of documents in person.
