131 Registrar may recommend appointments to governing body of registered agency (1) The Registrar, after consultation with the governing body of a registered agency and after considering any nominations made by that governing body, may recommend the appointment of one or more persons, whom the Registrar considers to be appropriately qualified, to that governing body. (2) The governing body of the registered agency may make an appointment recommended under subsection (1). (3) An appointment made under this section has effect as if it had been made in accordance with the constitution or rules of the registered agency. (4) A person may be appointed under this section in place of an existing member of the governing body or in addition to the existing members of the governing body of the registered agency. (5) This section applies despite anything to the contrary in the constitution or rules of the registered agency. S. 132 inserted by No. 106/2004 s. 5.
