14 Experimental special medical treatment to which Tribunal may consent

For the Act, section 45(3)(b), the following medical treatment is prescribed special treatment—

(a) treatment involving the administration to a patient of one or more restricted substances to affect the central nervous system of the patient, but only if the following are outside the accepted mode of treatment for a patient of that kind—

(i) the dosage levels, combinations or number of restricted substances used,

(ii) the duration of the treatment,

(b) treatment involving the use of androgen-reducing medication for behavioural control.
