1 Name

This instrument is the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Registration Fees) Instrument (No. 1) 2025.

2 Commencement

1. Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Note: This table relates only to the provisions of this instrument as originally made. It will not be amended to deal with any later amendments of this instrument.

1. Any information in column 3 of the table is not part of this instrument.

Information may be inserted in this column, or information in it may be edited, in any published version of this instrument.

3 Authority

This instrument is made under subsection 8(1) of the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Registration Fees) Act 2012 and subsection 33(3) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901.

4 Interpretation

1. Unless the contrary intention appears, words and expressions used in this instrument have the same meaning as given in the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Act 2012 and the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Registration Fees) Act 2012.
2. The descriptions in column 4 of Schedule 2 are a generic description of the products covered by the GEMS Determinations listed in column 3 of Schedule 2. They are provided for ease of reference only. Whether a model is covered by a GEMS Determination is determined by the relevant GEMS determination listed in column 3 of Schedule 2.

5 Fees

Column 2 of Schedule 2 sets out the registration fees specified for registration applications in relation to models of GEMS products covered by the GEMS determinations listed in column 3 of Schedule 2.

6 Schedules

1. Each instrument that is specified in Schedule 1 to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule, and any other item in Schedule 1 to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
2. Schedule 2 sets out the registration fees payable in accordance with section 5 of this instrument.
