#### 47 Appointment and functions of auditor 47 Appointment and functions of auditor > > (1) The Governor may, in relation to an annual reporting period for the Audit Office, appoint a registered company auditor within the meaning of the [Corporations Act 2001](http://www.legislation.gov.au/) of the Commonwealth to inspect and audit the Audit Office’s financial report and the books and records relating to the administration, during the annual reporting period, of the Audit Office. > > > (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), the auditor shall have and may exercise, in relation to the Audit Office, the same functions as the Auditor-General has under this Act in relation to an audit of government money. > > **s 47:** Am 2001 No 34, Sch 2.44; 2004 No 91, Sch 1.27 \[3\]; 2005 No 98, Sch 1.17 \[49\]; 2018 No 70, Sch 2\[21\].
