68 Criteria for grant or renewal of licence (1) An applicant for the grant or renewal of a commercial fishing licence must have attained the age of 18 years. (2) The matters to which the Director may have regard in considering an application for the grant or renewal of a commercial fishing licence include: (a) whether the applicant is able to demonstrate sufficient experience and skills to safely and effectively maintain commercial operations in the fishery for which the licence is sought; and (b) any relevant criminal history of the applicant; and (c) if the applicant has previously held a licence under this Act – whether the applicant has supplied all accounts, records, within the time prescribed or specified by the Director. (3) The matters referred to in subregulation (2) are in addition to the criteria set out in the Division of Part 8 in respect of which the licence is sought.
