6  Calculating number of days  (1) For the purposes of these Rules, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and bank holidays in the place concerned are to be counted as days.  (2) This rule does not affect the operation of section 36 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901. Note: Section 36 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 provides for calculating periods of time, including extending periods of time so that the last day to do a thing does not fall on a Saturday, Sunday, public holiday or a bank holiday in the place concerned. For the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 that applies to these Rules, see section 40A of the Act.
