5‑33 Post‑mortem controls for crocodile carcases

(1) Effective measures must be taken to ensure: (a) an accurate post‑mortem disposition (as referred to in subsection (2)) can be applied to all crocodile carcases and carcase parts prepared for export as food; and (b) only crocodile carcases and carcase parts that are not diseased and are fit for human consumption are prepared for export as food. (2) The carcases and carcase parts must: (a) be passed for human consumption; or (b) be passed for animal food; or (c) be condemned; in accordance with the Australian Crocodile Meat Standard.
