44 Failure to comply with electrical safety duty – category 2 (1) A person commits a category 2 offence if: (a) the person has an electrical safety duty; and (c) that conduct results in a risk to an individual of death, serious injury or serious illness caused directly by electricity or originating from electricity. conducting a business or undertaking – 1 000 penalty units; or

Electrical Safety Act 2022 31 or undertaking – 2 000 penalty units; or (c) for a body corporate – 10 000 penalty units.
