4AFunctions and powers of the Head, Transport for Victoria

4A Functions and powers of the Head, Transport for Victoria S. 4A(1) amended by No. 49/2019 s. 186(Sch. 4 item 15.4(a)). (1) For the purposes of this Act, the Head, Transport for Victoria has the following functions— (a) on behalf of the State, to administer and manage agreements and arrangements between the State and any other person for, or relating to, the development or delivery of the Project; (b) to make recommendations regarding those agreements and arrangements to the Minister; (c) to facilitate and coordinate consultations with statutory authorities and agencies of the State and other bodies or persons involved in, or affected by, the development or operation of the Project; (d) to negotiate and enter into arrangements with statutory authorities and agencies of the State and other bodies or persons involved in, or affected by, the development or operation of the Project; (e) to make recommendations to the Minister in relation to facilitating the Project and coordinating with statutory authorities, agencies of the State and other bodies or persons involved in, or affected by, the development or operation of the Project; (f) to ensure that agreements and arrangements between the State and any other person for, or relating to, the development or delivery of the Project are performed in accordance with their terms; (g) to manage the responsibilities of the State in relation to the operation of the Project; (h) to make recommendations to the Minister on public safety issues relating to the Project; (i) to manage, on behalf of the State, regulatory issues arising from the operation of the Project. (2) The Head, Transport for Victoria must comply with any directions given by the Minister, including any direction relating to the provision of information or reports concerning the exercise of its powers and the performance of its functions.
