227 Minister may direct certain bodies to act

S. 227(1) amended by Nos 95/2005 s. 4(4)(b), 49/2019 s. 186(Sch. 4 item 15.16).

(1) The Minister, after consultation with the relevant Minister, may direct the Head, Transport for Victoria or a Council to exercise their powers in relation to roads in a manner that enhances the integration of EastLink into the Victorian road network, as specified in the direction.

(2) A direction under this section must be in writing.

(3) A body to which a direction is given under this section must comply with that direction.

(4) A direction under this section applies despite anything to the contrary in any other Act or law.

(5) In this section—

relevant Minister means the relevant road Minister within the meaning of the Road Management Act 2004.
